Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take to get a pair of hearing aids?
With normal service, you can expect to receive your hearing aids within 10 days, however, for an additional charge we are able to receive hearing aids in as little as 2 days.
Is there a trial period so that I can return my hearing aids?
Yes! New Hampshire law requires that anyone who purchases a hearing aid has 30 days to return the aid for any reason for a full refund, minus a small fitting fee. This charge covers our materials and shipping costs. Generally we give a 30 to 60 day trial period depending on the product.
Will my insurance cover the cost of hearing aids?
Chances are your insurance policy will not have a hearing aid benefit, but if you are unsure, please call your provider, we will be happy to assist you in acquiring reimbursement. Medicare does not cover the cost of hearing aids.
What should I do with my old hearing aid batteries?
RECYCLE! Hearing aid batteries should not be thrown in with regular household trash; they contain toxic chemicals and heavy metals which certainly do not belong in our landfills. We offer a 10% discount for returned hearing aid batteries; we'll do the recycling so that you can enjoy the financial reward. Thank you!
What should I do with my old hearing aids?
Why not donate them? The Starkey Hearing Foundation accepts used hearing aids and many donations may permit you to take a large tax deduction on your tax return. Also, your local Lion’s Club may have a hearing aid donation program.
